Welcome to the Jordan Community Education and Recreation Driver’s Education website. We are committed to offering programs that meet the needs of our community members and surrounding areas.

We are proud to offer comprehensive classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction led by licensed teachers and directors who work locally in Jordan. All of our instructors have earned their driver’s education licensure through St. Cloud State University and stay current with any changes to Minnesota traffic laws.

Drivers Education News

We now offer behind-the-wheel instruction year-round.

You will no longer need to call to be placed on the behind-the-wheel scheduling list. Once your child completes the classroom session, they will automatically be added to our list. We do ask that you call Jamie Fremming at 952-492-4354 to let her know when your child passes their knowledge (permit) test. We will then work with each family to schedule behind-the-wheel sessions that work best for the student.

We encourage families to spread out the sessions to allow students more time between sessions to practice and grow as drivers. However, we will accommodate families who wish to complete sessions as soon as possible.

Cost

• 2025 Full Package (30 hours classroom + 6 hours behind the wheel): $405
  ($415 starting Jan. 1, 2026)
• 2025 Classroom Only (30 hours): $110
• 2025 Behind the Wheel Only (6 hours): $295
  ($305 starting Jan. 1, 2026)
• 2025 Behind the Wheel Refresher: $40 per hour
• 2025 No-Show for Behind the Wheel: $80 per session missed
  • Students will not receive their E-Card until fee has been paid
  • 24 hours notice is required

At Jordan Community Education, we strive to offer each child a first-class experience throughout the 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. We teach defensive driving strategies, risk management, Minnesota traffic laws, and other essential aspects of Driver’s Education. We are proud to be your hometown provider.
